How BybitGPT works.
A complete look under the hood — from raw Bybit market data, through the AI risk brain, to a guarded order on your account. No black box. Here's every stage.
Three independent stages. Every single trade.
A setup has to survive all three gates before a single order is placed. Most setups die at a gate — that's the whole point of a disciplined engine.
Read the market
Live price, funding rate, open interest, volume and order-flow stream in from Bybit USDT Perpetual. A multi-factor engine turns them into a single 0–100 ensemble score.
Second-opinion risk filter
A structured snapshot goes to ChatGPT via OpenAI's API. It can approve, reject, or cut the risk — a sanity check on the math, never the only signal.
Guarded order
Even an approved trade is blocked if it breaks a Risk Guardian rule — risk %, daily-loss kill switch, exposure, leverage, pump risk or cooldown.
What actually builds the score.
The engine doesn't rely on a single indicator. It blends trend, momentum, volatility, volume and market structure into one weighted score, then penalizes anything that looks like chasing.
Structure & direction
EMA 20/50/200 alignment defines the trend regime. Trades that fight the higher-timeframe structure are down-weighted before anything else runs.
Confirmation
RSI and MACD confirm that momentum agrees with the setup. Divergence against the intended direction lowers the score.
ATR sizing
Average True Range sets stop distance and position size, so the same risk % adapts to calm and volatile conditions instead of using a fixed stop.
Participation
Volume Z-score measures whether a move has real participation behind it or is a thin, easily-reversed spike.
Regime & bands
Bollinger deviation and a market-regime classifier tell the engine whether to trade trend-continuation or mean-reversion logic.
Penalties
Multi-period momentum and candle-expansion detection apply penalties so the engine doesn't buy the top of a vertical move.
Why a second, independent opinion matters.
Pure math can be confidently wrong. Before any trade, BybitGPT sends a structured market snapshot to ChatGPT, which acts as an independent risk reviewer — not the signal generator.
Full size
When the snapshot is clean and the score is strong, ChatGPT approves the trade at the engine's intended risk.
Cut the risk
On a marginal or conflicting setup, ChatGPT can shrink the position instead of blocking it — staying in the game, smaller.
No trade
If the context looks dangerous — news-driven chaos, a late pump, conflicting signals — ChatGPT rejects it and the engine stands down.
The AI runs on our infrastructure — your customers never need an OpenAI key, and there's no AI cost on their side.
Three edges, running continuously.
Follows the smart money.
Watches large on-chain wallets and exchange in/out-flows in real time. When serious money moves, the engine weighs that context before entering — instead of trading blind into a wall of sell pressure.
Catches momentum early — and avoids the top.
Tracks volume acceleration, order-flow and volatility expansion to spot a pump in its early stage. Just as important: it flags the late, dangerous stage so the engine doesn't buy into a blow-off.
Reacts to new listings instantly.
Monitors major exchanges for new coin and perpetual listings across Bybit, Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit and OKX. When one lands, the engine can act on the volatility — with strict caps that prevent blindly chasing the first candle.
The kill-switches that always win.
On leverage, protection beats prediction. These limits are enforced halts — even a ChatGPT-approved trade cannot break them.
Kill switch
Once the daily loss limit is hit, trading halts for the rest of the day. No revenge trading.
Position caps
Maximum total exposure and a cap on simultaneous positions stop the account from being over-committed at once.
Hard ceiling
A maximum-leverage cap you set — the engine can never over-lever the account beyond your comfort.
Chase block
Refuses parabolic, late-stage entries where the risk of an immediate reversal is highest.
30-min symbol lock
Stops rapid re-entry into the same symbol right after a trade, preventing overtrading one pair.
Protection warning
If an entry fills but its stop/take-profit fails to place, the engine flags it immediately instead of leaving you exposed.
